HOTEL BRIST is a boutique hotel in the small Dalmatian town of Brist in the south of Croatia. The existing object was reconstructed and extended, which gave it a completely new design, functional and aesthetic character. The object is built into the rock, so on the front side (towards the coast) it has six above-ground floors, while on the back side (towards the highway) only two. By shifting the volume of the building, on the third floor we got a spacious terrace with an overflow pool, a bar and an exceptional view of the open sea. The architect created an object of modern shape, and implemented natural materials such as white stone in order to evocate traditional concept in designing. Numerous transparent glass fences, as well as large glazed areas, are created with the intention of providing the user visual contact with the sea from every part of the object.
