R HOUSE is a house built in the 70s of the last century in the spirit of the modern Yugoslav architecture, deviating from the context in which it is located. With the reconstruction project, the house got a new identity based on the Mediterranean spirit with the presence of modern elements. The dominant colors in the interior are white, shades of beige, sand and stone. The furniture elements are made of natural wood (tinted American walnut) with accentuated growth rings. In addition to the connection with the natural environment, the architect wanted to keep the presence of the time from which the building originates with certain details, such as the ceramic design. The living block is connected to the hallway and kitchen by high arched openings framed by an elegant corten steel frame, whose shade and dilapidation are reminiscent of rusty iron parts of ships on the shores of the Bay of Kotor. The house has two floors with five bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and dining room. Using natural white stone on the facade, architect emphasizes the external connection of the building with the environment dominated by Mediterranean vegetation and the stone cathedral with a bell tower.
